Run by Taisto and Lenka
Lapland Wilderness Tours is a sleddog kennel and tour operator at Kauppinen outside Kiruna. Owner Taisto Thorneus has over 40 years of experience as a guide and tour operator in the sub-arctic, and Lenka Slosar has run the company with him since 2017.
Taisto has won national and international sled dog races, including the Swedish long-distance championship three times, and took silver in the middle-distance world championship in Canada in 2017. In 1983 he completed a 1,700 km expedition across the Scandinavian mountains.
